Legal and Regulatory Compliance:
Adhering to laws and regulations set by governmental bodies, including labor laws, tax laws, environmental regulations, and industry-specific requirements.
Internal Policies:
Following company-specific rules, codes of conduct, and procedures related to ethical behavior, data handling, and conflict resolution.
Industry-Specific Compliance:
Meeting standards and guidelines set by regulatory bodies within a particular industry, such as financial regulations for banks, or data protection regulations for online businesses.
Financial Reporting Compliance:
Ensuring accurate and transparent financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulations.
Data Protection Compliance:
Adhering to regulations like GDPR or CCPA to protect customer data and privacy.
HR Compliance:
Following labor laws, employment regulations, and ensuring fair and equitable practices in hiring and employment.
Risk Management:
Implementing measures to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, such as developing internal controls and regular audits.
Training and Education:
Ensuring employees are aware of and understand compliance policies and procedures.
Technology:
Utilizing technology to monitor and enforce compliance standards, automate processes, and track data.

Our Comitment towards equity in community development refers to ensuring all workers on work sites have equal access to resources and opportunities, regardless of their background. And adhering to regulations and policies that promote fairness and equal access, such as those related to fair employment opportunities. It is crucial for creating healthy and vibrant communities where all residents can thrive. Our teams ensure that all workers are not disadvantaged based on their race, ethnicity, income, or other characteristics.

Our commitment towords community developement empowers people and communities to take collective action on issues that are important to them. It's a holistic approach grounded in principles like empowerment, inclusion, social justice, and sustainability. Effective community development aims to improve the well-being of all stakeholders, reduce disparities, and increase opportunities for growth.

Modern Slavery Statement

Modern slavery is the recruitment, movement, harbouring or receiving of children, women or men through the use of force, coercion, abuse of vulnerability, deception or other means for the purpose of exploitation.

We provide end-to-end services in advanced manufacturing, cities & places, energy, environmental, life sciences, transportation and water. From advisory and consulting, feasibility, planning, design, program and lifecycle management, we’re creating a more connected and sustainable world. At Steve Harvard, we do things right. We always act with integrity – taking responsibility for our work, caring for our people and staying focused on safety and sustainability. In alignment with our values, we are committed to respecting the human rights and dignity of individuals within our operations, supply chain and communities where we do business.

2. Acts of avoiding risks of modern slavery

Steve Harvard is committed to identifying possible modern slavery risks in our operations and supply chains. We conduct human rights risk assessments, including periodic support from third-party consultants who have supported risk assessment efforts. As a result, we update and improve our understanding of our risk areas for human rights violations and modern slavery exposure.

Modern slavery risk factors considered in the evaluation of Steve Harvard’ operations and supply chain, include but are not limited to:

- Sector and industry risks: As a professional services company that provides solutions to a diverse range of clients, in some countries some business engagements identify us with a higher risk sector or industry. 

- Geographic risks: Some of the countries in which we operate have higher risks of modern slavery due to poor governance or socio-economic factors.

- Product and services risks: In some countries some products and services used in our supply chain are identified as higher risk, such as services that involve manual labor or foreign migrant workers.

We provide professional services to clients in their respective countries. The supply chain for Steve Harvard primarily consists of the following categories:

- Corporate suppliers which may include external advisors, cleaning services, training providers, general goods and services for use in day-to-day operations;

- IT suppliers such as providers of IT equipment; and

- Project subconsultants to provide professional services. 

Together with our partners, we are committed to continually improving their approach to identifying modern slavery risks in their supply chains and operations around the globe, including further engagement of third parties to conduct reviews and provide expertise on enhancing our approach.
